Floyd Bone, P.E.
Petroleum Engineer and Reserves Expert
Mr. Bone is a Texas-registered Professional Engineer and Certified Petroleum Engineer with over 40 years of experience in domestic and international oil and gas exploration, development, and reserve evaluation. His expertise spans a wide range of technical disciplines, including reservoir engineering, reserves auditing, and economic analysis.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bone has led reserves management for internal and external reporting, year-end audits, and bank redeterminations. He has extensive experience coordinating with thirdparty reserve consultants to ensure compliance with SEC and PRMS standards, and he has consistently delivered technically sound, defensible reserve estimates. His leadership has been integral to corporate reserves valued at more than $7 billion.
Mr. Bone is known for his rigorous, “tee-to-green” evaluation approach, beginning with pre-drill prospect and economic analysis, continuing through drilling and formation evaluation, and culminating in post-drill reserve booking. His work has encompassed reservoir evaluations across most U.S. basins and select international projects, including Mexico. Notably, he has contributed to significant discoveries, such as a 300 Bcf gas find in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico.
In addition to his corporate roles, Mr. Bone serves as an independent consultant, specializing in reserve evaluations, reservoir engineering, and technical advisory services

- Coordinated year-end audit process with 8 asset reservoir engineers and Netherland Sewell and Associates, third-party reserve consultant
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams: land development, accounting, geology and geophysics, and reservoir engineering, delivering compliant year-end audits
- Audited the reserves quarterly and reviewed the reserve database for input, output, and support with the bank group biannually, facilitating and delivering redetermination of the company's bank revolver.
